Basic Gardening Workshop

We will cover the basics of setting up your garden in this one hour event. Topics will include irrigation, raised beds, weed control, and how to get the most out of your garden for minimal work. Bring a pen and paper.

Permaculture & Intensive market gardening workshop

This will be a 2 hour workshop on the overview of Permaculture & Intensive market gardening. We will be discussing the basics of Permaculture and how it relates to food production for profit. Q & A session for specific topics will be address during the last 15 to 30 minutes of the workshop. You will leave with an understanding of the basics of what Permaculture is and how it applies to the homestead and market garden.

Fires and Farms in the Foothills

Join us for a discussion of fires and farms. How to prepare for fires in our community and resources to use in order to make you farm fire safe. As a firefighter and farmer I’ll share what I have learned over the years to help make your home safer, have an exit plan in case of emergency and to prepare you for the upcoming fire season.

Spring Farm Hootenanny for Family & Friends.

Join us for a farm tour at noon and to celebrate our second full season. Come visit the farm to see what we are growing and meet the farmer. If you are interested in market gardening this is a great opportunity to see what one looks like. Please bring a side dish as this will be a potluck and your favorite beverage. We will have salad, roasted root crops and other seasonal produce to sample.
